2007

The following colorgramme shows the radio meteor counts for the month of June 2007. The horizontal axis shows the date and the vertical axis the local time (UT).

Sporadic-E has been a persistent problem throught June 2007 and my data has little value for any of the days throughout June. The counts between 00:00 and 06:00 UT would possibly be usable, but even they look a bit suspect.

Detection is operating on 55.25 MHz, using a three element Yagi, bearing 180 deg ETN and 10 degree elevation.

2006

2005

The following colorgramme shows the radio meteor counts for the month of June 2005. The horizontal axis shows the date and the vertical axis the local time (UT).

The high activity during the second quarter of June is largely due to the daylight showers, the Arietids and the Zeta Pereids. These showers produced the highest sustained counts of the year recorded as two peaks. The first between the  8th - 10th June (77 - 79 solar longitude) and the second between the 12th - 14th June (81 - 83 solar longitude). Meteor activity remained high through to the end of June, possibly as a result of June Lyrid, Sagittarid and JBO activity.

Sporadic E continues to be a problem throughout June. Periods affected by sporadic E have been removed, leaving the dark spaces.

Detection is operating on 55.25MHz, using a three element Yagi, bearing 180 deg ETN and 10 degree elevation.

There are no results during the morning of 5th June, as the computer crashed.
